Yesterday at Powell's my afternoon duties included "fluffing humor", which means to go through the humor section and straighten. Fluff it. Make it pretty. Which is quite a job, and not funny.
However, I came across this little treasure and immediately snapped it up.
"Mouse Breath, Conformity, and Other Social Ills" by Jonathan Winters. AND IT'S SIGNED!
The photo of Jonathan Winters on the back says it all-- Mr. Cool. Mr. Good-Time in his director's chair.
And this book is his "ironic" take on the weakness of human culture. It's not that funny, honestly, very
dated and the drawings are terrible, but it's a sweet little volume, and for just the picture and autograph alone it's worth owning.
