Even Mark Trail Likes Sloths
Living at a low ebb, hundreds of feet over the ground. Must be an amazing, practically human-free zone up there. A slow, smooth life suspended. Mark Trail points out that the sloth's grip is so unrelenting that they often remain clinging to the tree branch after they die. The Giant Sloth was another story entirely, as big as an elephant and definitely rooted to the ground. I prefer the smaller, gentler variety.
