Solid Like a Rock
Here is an overlooked jewel of a movie. "Seconds" starring Rock Hudson from 1966. ( A very good year) Rock Hudson plays completely against type in this science fiction story of middle-aged banker, Arthur Harrison. Arthur is contacted by a dead friend and convinced to purchase the services of a company that promises him a whole new life. He is transformed into a good-looking swingin' bohemian artist. Gradually though, the new life doesn't work out. I won't tell you any more, get this movie if you're in the mood for a particularly quirky, 60's Twilight Zone experience. Watching Rock Hudson be vulnerable in black and white is worth it. The director is John Frankenheimer who also directed The Manchurian Candidate.
