It seems impossible, but Mr. Rios and I just celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary! When you get married at 29, 16 years later means...you're old! But, no matter. Mr. Rios only improves with age, and our married life is more fun and full of love than ever.
I've known Mr. Rios for 24 years now, we were friends for 8 years before we dated for 3. We met through the northwest music scene, spending countless hours together in moldy punk basements and on mossy dilapidated porches. We fell in love on my band's rock and roll tour to California. After a great punk rock acoustic set in San Francisco, we decided that our friendship was lifelong and thus began our life together as a team. We've parented our asses off, and finally it's calmer, more serene around the house, and we have more time for each other. And in the case of Mr. Rios, that means F-U-N! And C-U-T-E!
The look? Mr. Rios in a black suit, white shirt, no tie. Moi? A bright floral kimono snap dress I got at H&M in New York. Wood heels, gold earrings. Fancy!
